TWILIGHT CIRCUS

Twilight Circus Dub Sound System is the solo dub project of veteran multi-instrumentalist Ryan Moore, who played bass for the Legendary Pink Dots. Currently based in The Netherlands, Ryan grew up in Canada and was immersed early on in Dub & Reggae. Moore first learned to play instruments by playing along with classic Jamaican recordings, spending countless hours as a youth playing deep reggae grooves. He has been active in the music world since 1981, appearing as a musician on over 60 albums with various artists in numerous genres. Moore's take on dub is a radical application of the ideology of dub pioneers King Tubby, Lee Perry and Augustus Pablo: his bass lines weigh tons, his atmospheres are cadaverous, his thick and deep arrangements are kaleidoscopic while looking inconspicuous. And his dub is fueled by real bass and drums, not by electronic gimmickry.
